Liza Arico is an argentine designer specialized in recycling and research of new materials that are environment-friendly. This know-how is present since the very beginning of the French brand Costumisée Par® which has received the labels Recyclaid France and ReciclArte Argentina : the purpose is to give a second life to textile waste and to recreate vintage bags and accessories. In Liza's world, there are bags from the old times and from today, press clippings, buttons, vinyl records, blankets and coats. Her master words : to salvage, to deconstruct, to customize. Of course, the priority is the hand-made in France in her workshop, with creation materials (Recyclaid) like water paint, plastic (from the bottling plants or building construction sites) and collages with old and torn magazines, maps, guides, books etc. The idea is simple : always use the material that it is no more possible to use in another way. Liza is part of the sustainable development network of Paris ('Réseau Paris développement durable'). Besides she takes part in the artistic and educative project of ReciclArte Argentina with the support of environmental and official organisms and the support of UNESCO. In 2006, she was the winner of Parcours Paris Capitale de la Création Communication Vitrine. To date, Costumisée Par® also provides strategic advices about textile recycling to different Groups of international fashion, in order to recreate new collections from the past ones. Her main message is to reconcile fashion, tendencies and ethics.
