Deux Filles en Fil has created original bags and fashion accessories : chic, fun and flexible. The history started in 2004 with Claire the designer and her childhood friend Florence also designer. The contact with people during the fairs have made them improved their collections. The idea of Deux filles en fil is original and unique : the bags and accessories are created and sold in a flat way. They are sold to be packed by oneself : scratches and press-stud buttons. Bags can be packed and unpacked very easily which is very practical to put them away (in a flat position in a wardrobe or rolled up), to carry or to clean them. Thanks to the press-stud buttons, each model of bags can have a different style if some press-stud buttons are closed or not. As the handle is removable and adjustable, the bags can be carried in several ways. The collection has also flat-packed accessories which are adjustable and reversible, such as mittens, gaiters and collar-muff bags. Eco initiative The materials (leather and textile) are high quality and they are coming from the fashion industry surpluses. All the bags and accessories are produced in small or medium series. The same happens for the mittens, gaiters and collar-muffs. Each collection has a lot of colours and patterns in limited quantity. Social commitment Deux filles en fil is located in Maine-et-Loire in West of France. They have decided to support the know-how of this region, well-known for its skills in leather craft and textile manufacturing, but the region has badly suffered from the closings and delocalization of factories. So the whole production is made by the last subcontractors all around Cholet.
